Marshall JCM 800 1992 Super Bass
Anyone have one? Use it for guitar or bass? The "1992" is the model number. I'm looking at it to use for guitar with a tube pre amp pedal in front of it. Thoughts?

One of the best bass amp I've ever had. Really loud, with a bassy and dark sound. It also takes well every pedal you throw in it, really!
Now I use an Orange AD-200B for bass, but the JCM800 Superbass remains my main amp for guitar and baritone. It's really different from the JCM800 Super Lead (and from the older JMP Superbass), which is a guitar amp with good crunch, dist etc.: with the Superbass, you can't reach a good saturation without blowing out speakers and ears.

You're not a musician, you're a low frequencies generator!

I have one coming my way this week. I'll be running a Verellen Meatsmoke pre amp pedal in front of it. What kinda power tubes have you used? It's coming with Sovtek 6550WE. Can you put KT88 in this with a mod?

Yes. That's what I did to my 800 2203. Do it. You won't regret it. Might not even need a mod if you can get the plate voltage up there, but the mod is a simple one any decent tech can do.
