That's good to hear, and everyone makes mistakes. Still, my luck hasn't been the greatest

No, you are not alone, i have a malekko hate. They once had a subforum here and there were issues... And good people? No, not really. Liar is a more fitting word for my experiences... If somebody wants to travel back in time and have a look: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=8916
I personally stay away from their products and got rid of the ones i owned.

i just read through, that really sucks man. for me they've been helpful (at least so far). i guess it remains to be seen if a tiger can change it's stripes.

i've got the impression that most anything that comes out of Portland should be avoided. the builders i'm aware of from there all seem to either be loony or build stuff that has a reputation for breaking down and/or underperforming.

I though Catalinbread, Subdecay, Mr Black were located in Portland... They have all built some great pedals I have been/am happy with and have all been really nice to deal with.

Don't get me wrong I'm just saying there is an awful lot of pedal builders in Portland and its surroundings. That's all. Otherwise I got what you meant; and like you, I hear/read feedback that does not particularly entice me to purchase much from some specific builders from this area.

Has Infanem ever had QC or customer service issues? I have been looking at some of their stuff and they/he seem to be loved on the forum. Portland also has Spaceman and I still don't know what to make of that one. On one hand the pedals all seem really cool and do their thing, but there seems to be a lot of BS with no clips, mysterious and super limited production runs, and dat price.
a number of folks here have complained abut their Second Voices being problematic, and there was more than one person who said the phaser(s) were noisy.
