yea. Not sure what I wanna do. I could just forget it and roll the normal gibson wiring. I generally dont use the neck or parallel modes but I am not sure what yet to do

Bolt Thrower, Bongzilla, and EW were the first stoner/doom-esque bands I got into.... way back in the summer of '98.... I still keep BT's complete discography on my iPod. Every once in a while I get a craving for them.

There's all kinds of crazy LP wiring schematics out there you could try. I was gonna recommend the Jimmy Page wiring, but you said you don't want push/pull pots.

yep. CTS does have a $15 short shaft push pull pot but I am getting the feeling it wont work on my LP and that I need long shaft

Yeah, I got a weird craving to listen to them after they popped up on a search. Haven't listened to them in a few years at least. Honour, Valour, Pride wasn't on Spotify, so I found it on Youtube. Damn good shit.

The bass line is really fun to play. There was a phase where I was so addicted to it that I'd be playing it while walking around the house, sitting on the toilet, whatever. Holy Mountain is my favorite Sleep song overall though.
I recently discovered that the Ric HB1, while pretty boring on its own, is AWESOME paired with the mudbucker; hadn't tried it until now. HYOOOJ sound but still has articulation, I guess it's sort of the equivalent of those mini-humbuckers in the EB3 and such.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
ok with 2 push pull pots and 1 3 pos 4 pole rotary I could do the following.
The rotary would have 3 modes, Bridge, Neck, Series. When in Bridge or Neck the respective Volume pots could coil tap the output. So there would be 2 submodes in Bridge and 2 submodes in Neck. In series mode, one of the coils in the Bridge is in series with 1 of the coils in the Neck effectively making 2 coil tapped HBs in series.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'm getting that Tele GAS again. OHSHIT.
I really can't justify it, since I bought the BGP and 2 new speakers this month, and I have a fucking Strat sitting around at my parents house almost unused for like a year that's been modded enough that I wouldn't get much if I sold it to fund one
But shit do I want me a Tele
EDIT, even worse, I think I can almost comfortably afford (who knew working before uni terms was a good idea?) one which is BAD because my girlfriend will slap my shit if I buy myself a guitar.

That sounds like a wicked setup, I believe that's pretty close to the Jimmy Page wiring which is pretty slick.

How'd youy know? Are you sneaking peaks at my iPod, or is it some weird mind control broadcasting in our area to all tune in to the same band at the same time?!?!?!?! Where's my tinfoil hat.....

Everything I ever needed to learn about C I learned from Sleep's Holy Mountain.

I tuned the Obstructures down to B last night. I had had it in drop D ever since I got it back from EGC, but B just sounds so much better and more full. Guh I was missing out

Not that I'm in a rush to snag another bass, but I'd love to get a four-banger tuned down to A. Like that Starfire reissue.

I'm addicted to playing around with that song. We decided early on NO COVERS, but I still play it anyways just about every time we jam.
Nick, I'll be really disappoint if you settle for a "normal" lp wiring scheme. Do what you do man, make something special.
