Today was not a good day.

Possibly because I am not Ice Cube (or because the 'Sonics don't exist anymore), but the verdict is out.
good deals are here.

UMMMMMMMM WHERE THE FUCK DO I START

a few semesters back we started to prepare a student magazine. all in english (being based on an english studies department)m articles, short stories, poems all that jazz...

people came and went, that slowed us down, but i endured and kinda became a vice-editor-in-chief, helping with a lot of shit. it was soon obvious, the current editor-in-chief wanted to make me his succesor for the next semester...

this semester, stuff really started to move, wecreated an editorial board, started editing stuff, accepting new members, creating illustration and new ideas and the magazine really started to shape. it was sealed that after we publish the first issue, i'll be the editor-in-chief since then, so i started to bring together a team for the enxt issue, started organizing meetings... we also created a database of potentioal sponsors for the fundraising so we can pay for the print and shit

mind you - even though we had a team, the editor-in-chief still kept a lot of stuff to do for himself... and he proved to be not evry dependable

currently, we were on a deadspot because of him, because he told us he'd prepare an official preview for the fundraising and until then, we couldn'T really do much... the articles are edited, they just need to be proof-read... the illustrations and photos are coming and all is good... i today recieved a very nice calculation for the printing...

... but RIGHT NOW, he told me he'S quitting. And he just threw it at me, so all of a sudden, i'm fully responsible for months of work by more than twenty people, i need to take care of appointing and helping people with the preview, complete layout, doing final decisions about the articles, handling the proof-reading, fund raising, printing, EVERY FUCKING THING

I'M FREAKING THE FUCK OUT

i mean,... if i were in charge of the next issue, the foundation would have already been laid. the organizational stuff would have been taken care of... we'd have sponsors... but since he bailed on us, it's all in front of ME

in the next few months, i'm publishing the goddamn magazine. it WILL exist, i tell you that... but it will cost me my sanity

you can do it. you obviously know how to organize things, given your band work. if you're working in English your command of the language is better than many Yanks. and if you're working in Czech, i'm certain you're even more articulate. this is within your capabilities, and i have great faith in your abilities. go get 'em.

Jesus H. Christ, did i have a shit day today. my computer decided to get slow again, so i decided to try pulling the HD and blowing it out with my trusty can of compressed air. after re-assembing everything, it turned out that the disc i'd stupidly left in the CD/DVD drive was stuck and couldn't be gotten out by any conventional method, which meant that i had to disassemble the whole thing AGAIN, which took for fucking EVER becauswe to get to the optical drive you have to basically pull EVERYTHING out, the logic board and everything. so i spent something like seven hours working on this bloody laptop. happily, everything's functioning, excepting the function keys that got fucked up when i had to pry them off to get to the two Secret Screws you have to undo to get the keyboard out. REMIND ME NOT TO MOVE TO CHINA AND GET A JOB BUILDING COMPUTERS.

I decide to start reading again, so I buy a book... and my e-reader decides to break.

The usb port completely lifted off the board. Granted, I've not been gentle with it... but, now it can't charge. So now I have to buy a new one.

Gross.

Apparently I missed a shift, so the manager was like "We're not going to use you anymore." and I just said "Okay." and left with my paycheck.

So, whatever. I was barely getting hours anyway.
