Feeling tempted to get a monstrous 24-fret floyd rose equipped superstrat - or other shaped thing - that's built for metal. What are the best cheap ones?

Peavey predators any good? I literally know nothing of this. Please help me on the path to enlightnment and enchantment.

If you don't need a super wide-nut thin front-to-back Ibanez type neck, the Godin Redline 3 with Floyd and EMG's is pretty under priced for how good it is. I was sorely tempted to hit one for $290 in December even though I generally don't get along with either Floyds or EMG's.

Oh, used high-end Yamaha Pacificas. Shredder necks, good pickups (usually Dimarzio), Floyd, and when they come up on Craigslist, sometimes they're priced like the low end 121's.
