Delay similar to de-7?

Post by Pizza »

I really love the dark musical repeats of my ibby de-7 but she is dying. I've beat the shit out of this guy and the switch has always been a little wonky.

Anything have the delay time and same characteristics in the repeats as the de-7 but with a better switch and a fair price tag?

From digging around I've learned that boutique builders can't get chips to do such long delay times (7 seconds?).
So if long delays is what you're after, its gonna have to be one of the big guys.

If I recall correctly, those switches were easy to replace.

I don't need 7 seconds of delay. I use the middle position. All the other analog delay sims that I've tried don't sound as good to me. I guess I'll try to find a new switch.

If you still have it turned on, put it in a True Bypass looper.

Slightly off topic, did you like the FZ7?

On topic:
Buy a whole bunch of DE-7s before people realize they are awesome.
People probably wont, but man they rule so hard.
