Speaking of Anodizing, has anyone ever ordered an EGC with the fingerboard anodized?

I've seen powdercoated but I don't think I've seen anodized.

I've found a couple of guys in england with a quick google search but they don't really have info on pricing and such, which I guess doesn't matter TOO much but it'll be a while before I have the money to get any guitar so I'd like to know.

There's always Loic Lepape making sweet steel-bodies guitars over in France. I can't tell from his site on my phone if he ever builds necks out of aluminum or steel, though. (I imagine the latter would be really heavy, even if it was made the way the bodies are.)

Those are wood necks, dude. Just the bodies are METULL.

Hmm. Think he'd build an Alu neck? He's probably not set up to machine something like that, much less set up for aluminum. Might take awhile...

Speaking of Anodizing, has anyone ever ordered an EGC with the fingerboard anodized?

My fretboard and pickguard/control plate will all be anodized matte black. The body, neck, and headstock will be anodized Titanium. Basically everything will be anodized beyond the neck edges and pickguard edges. Those will be left raw to get the faux binding and multilayered pickguard looks going.

Anodize and or powedercoat that one green (all flaked out like a Carbon Copy) and it's the EXACT EGC I think about when I touch myself.

A Standard model like you describe would look FUCKING SICK! Kinda like these only sparkle green as opposed to stain....

It's cool that your fretboard is anodized - it's my understanding that the anodized stuff will wear or scratch more easily right? If that's the case I can only imagine how supremely badass the fretboard will look after a few months/years of wear

Kevin told me the anodized board should actually outlive the powdercoat in terms of wear. I really went for it cuz I love how the brushed finished is retained when anodizing as oppossed to covering it with powdercoat...

Anodized stuff should out last powder coating. Very durable coating.
