FC3's gameplay is great, didn't really give a shit about the storyline and especially not the protagonist or his rich white suburban friends.
It's about a million times better than FC2, gameplay-wise.

I thought the gameplay of farcry 2 was really mediocre and the story didn't make me care enough to play more than a few hours but I like the idea of the thing, is far cry 3 that much better? It definitely looks cool as shit.

It's that much better. I quit FC2 about halfway through when I just couldn't take any more assholes in jeeps faster than mine at EVERY. SINGLE. CHECKPOINT.
They fixed every issue I can remember having with FC2. The combat's actually fun now. Taking over outposts is the best part of the game. You don't have to collect diamonds to upgrade your guns, and each gun has a few different upgrades to choose from.
There's a bow and you can get your Predator on with explosive arrows. The stealth system doesn't blow and takedowns are rewarding.
The flamethrower doesn't have horrible range like they always do; same goes for the shotguns.
I mean, you can load up your jeep with C4, then place a proximity mine on the front and bail it into a village, c'mon.
Also, it's hilarious when you lure an enemy into a group of those emu things or vice versa and watch him get kicked to death. Just amazing.

Yeah that sounds incredible. Definitely on my list of things to buy if they're ever a legit price on steam (and everything is, sooner or later).

Do you really get commission for games you worked on? If so that's really cool and I never even thought about that.
My wife is working both days this weekend, so my agenda includes a bunch of dope and video games. It's going to be a good weekend.

Just started a new character in Dark Souls on 360. I'd be nice to play some co op. If anyone is interested, my gamertag is the same as my username here

I don't even have a PS3, but I gotta tell ya.
Dual-shield that shit.
Anxiously awaiting the release of the PS4 so I can buy a cheap PS3 and finally play Valkyria Chronicles. And a few other games, I guess...like, uh.
Dark Souls and...Metal Gear...and...are there any good RPGs out?

I just recently sold my PS3. I never played it. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were the only games I played on it. Dark Souls is on 360, and I'm more of an xbox guy anyway. So I said fuck it.

Re: The Video Game thread
oh lulz, didn't see the 360, PS3's on my mind.
Yeah, 360 online was good times. The community is so horrifically bad in most games that messing with the other players becomes so fucking hilarious that it's all I focus on after a while.
I'm proud to have had the gamertags of me and my friends in a few peoples' profiles, telling others not to join servers that we're hosting.
We were never explicit assholes, no teamkilling, but griefing them was SO MUCH FUN.

I've been having a bunch of fun with Project Zomboid lately. The current build is really buggy but a new update is around the corner and they are constantly keeping their forums abreast of what is going on with development. Check it out.

Re: The Video Game thread
Finished my 3rd play through of Dishonored (low chaos again), missed out on Ghost but got Shadow instead.
Wasn't going for a speedrun but still beat it in under 5h relatively casual. Once you find the right places you can navigate very fast, I discovered that you can completely bypass half of the last area in #4 Royal Physician. Kind of silly how short it is, but I still really love the game for some reason.
