Thoughts on Reverb Pedals?

Post by Phengren Oswald »

Well?

Looking for classic, surf-y, spring-y reverb in a pedal.
EHX Holy Grail?

Anything else?

Maybe that Wet? Haven't tried it myself tho...

I'd have a look at the Subdecay Spring Theory as well.

Or go all out with Fender RI unit, them shits is the best!

Def look into the spring theory. The ghost echo is a great sounding springy verb that sounds fanfreakingtastic with shit loads of fuzzzzzzz. The RRR doesn't do spring but you can get some gnarly wet surf-y toanz with the plate settings - that shit gets sopping wet (paging doctor chankgeeeeez...).
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

I would kill a family for a Strymon Bluesky or Eventide Space.

I love my malekko spring. its drippy and springy and a bit cheaper than the other suggestions and it is tiny, perfect to throw at the end of any board.

The spring on the Shimverb kills. It's honestly one of the best I've tried TBH, and I've tried quite a few

the ones i use mostly are the rv-3, rv-5, blue sky, dispatch master, and ghost disaster. sometimes all together. i'm not sure i've ever played a reverb pedal from which i couldn't get useful sounds.

Me likes the sound of the Shimverb. And I'm assuming that you've run it after a crap-ton of fuzz?
Cause I will be running the reverb after a crap-ton of fuzz most likely.

Electronics too, probably no guitar actually...
