Hey everyone,
I need to know which delay will be on board.
I need a super powerfull one, with a lot of posibilities in it, and I don't want to sell my car to afford it...
I thought this Vintage Modified Delay might be a good choice.
I can find some used Empress ones here in France for about 400 $...
But my main concern is that when I started my board last year, the Empress Delay was everywhere, on each boards, you had to have it...
Now...I barely see one, mostly on TGP btw.
I have to say that I have a better trust on ILFers but I can't see that pedal on your boards...
Why?
Is it good? not so good? so passé?

I don't have any experience with the VMD, but how much does eventide stuff cost over there? For a comparable price you can get the TimeFactor, which has about 1000x more capabilities and editability to it if it isn't much more used

The Time Factor is about 570$ here...ouch
I don't want Eventide stuff, I dislike the digital screen, it scares me, I only want knobs (silly me, I know).
Plus I find the Eventide stuffs cold to my ears...and my eyes (silly me again)

Same here; unfortunately, to my ears, the VMSD is not worth $400. Have you thought about this (trying to think of something with lots of options and no LED screen)?

I have the superdelay, not the vintage one... I love it.

Re: Empress Vintage Modified Delay?????
i just picked up a VMSD. it's sick. and i'm a delay junkie. timefactor's pretty awesome too, just let skulls have mine since he's doing some custom building for me. won't be surprised if i wind up with one again eventually.
