I'm sitting with a little bit of money burning a hole in my pocket
I only have a '72 Colorsound wah, a Fender tuner, an OCD and (will be receiving) a Big Green Pi from ARC effects.
That's
IT . So what else do you folks suggest to fill me out?
All and any suggestions are welcome, just talk to me about gear dudes.

Have you considered delay or reverb? Even something cheap like the Mooer Shimverb is a decent introduction into reverb

I always think about getting a reverb, and a delay, then I try them out on something like PODfarm and I think it's fine and fun, go to buy one from a builder or eBay and then play again and suddenly HATE it and get freaked out I'm wasting my money. I know I should eventually get one, but I'm a little neurotic!

I second Skully's advice, usually after dirt experimenting with time based effects (delay/verb) is a good step and then moving on to modulation (phaser/chorus/etc). Knowing your setup I think a Boss RE-20 would be more up your alley, it would work well in the Orange's FX loop and it has the vintage flavor that kinda matches the rest of your rig.

Tape winding on the RE-20?
Are you thinking of a real RE-201?

Nah, isn't there a thing where if you hold the RE-20 footswitch down it 'warps' the delay line?

Ohhhhhhh yeah, it's kinda like self-oscillation but kinda not at the same time.

Another suggestion would be to get the Behringer version of an effect, see if you dig it, and then if you don't you only wasted about $20

Or it'll be so bad you'll be turned off that effect for good...

Have a look around all the builders here at ilf, they all make really cool, interesting stuff! Trying out reverb and/or delay could definitely be fun, might just be you never found the right ones for you before.
