I see electric wizard get mentioned often on here, but usually only after someone mentions fz-2.
Any fans of them?
I personally love them, they got me into doom after hearing dopethrone so I'll forever be in their debt and they will always hold a special place in my doomy taste.

Yup. Didn't get a chance to listen to them until they relaunched as Mark II with We Live, but I'm a huge fan of all their albums.
Except for Black Masses. Because the production doesn't do it for me.
So I finally got that wierdo Soundtronics amp working. Tried it out on bass and it sounded kinda farty. I think It needs some new caps so time to order some up.

i'm a big fan. such an awesome band. i got to see them a year or two ago and it was fucking great. they played a ton of shit off of dopethrone, but the dude has kind of learned to sing a lot better. so the vocals were all completely different sounding than i was used to. usually i would not be into that, but his vocals were actually really good. i liked it a lot better than the recording on that album. actually, the one problem i really ever had with dopethrone was that i wasn't crazy about the vocals. i wish they would rerecord it sounding how they do now. really glad i got to see them though.
