Living in empty countryside makes you turn to strange practices I suppose

I can vouch for this. From 10-18 lived in the boonies. Had to get out of there, man.

Confession: I haven't listened to much music let alone doom in the past 2 months. It's kind of weird and discerning.

That being said, I have been trying to record more. And by more, I mean more than once every 2-3 months.

I've been listening to the classics, but I've not encountered any new bands in a very long while.

Someone suggest something

Kind of doom-meets-industrial but not in a cheesy way, Author & Punisher. It's a one man act, and the dude builds all the machines he uses live to make up the band.

I need to check out the new Conan record because I really didn't dig the first EP aside from one track. The tone and sound? Yes. But it seemed to have dragged on and on for me

It turns out that my tech used to live with Stephen O'Malley, and has an original copy of Crippled Lucifer. Small world, isn't it?

I fucking love Author & Punisher. Got to see him twice last year, once at the show where that video was recorded, and once at a small bar in Alameda. Photography is also a hobby of mine, live band photography in particular, so links those shows here and here.
