Thanks for the info Ryan! Guess I didn't think it through all the way, makes sense though; analog's analog and digital's digital, and never the two shall mix.

They can mix, it's just that it would dramatically complicate the circuit and build... if you look inside your Cosmi, there's barely a mm of unused space, so to incorporate tap into the circuit would require basically a totally new Cosmichorus in a bigger enclosure.

I'm never going to do tap on my powerful analog pedals because personally I think tap is the autotune of guitar pedals, not necessary or even really that cool, and a lame digital addition to a loverly analog circuit. Plus I want to make a digital tap tempo/LFO/CV control box that will give tap/LFO/CV control to all my analog pedals. :p

As to be expected from Ryan and Tanya, this pedal delivers in spades! It's really flexible in sound and once you know what the Clock knob and toggle does, it's easy to deal with the settings. It definitely can go from subtle to extreme in a smooth way. I love all the settings of the Clock toggle. From Boss Hi-fi-ness to the warmth and lushness of the Arion SCH-1(with none of the problems inherent to those types of chorus) and beyond. The more intense settings are fun to specially with the Hold Feature. It can also have some Flanger and Vibrato sounds. Whether you want to use it for conventional songs or experimental ones, there's are lots of different sounds in this unit. The wait is very much well worth it! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Right on, Edgie, I've been wondering how you'd like it! Makes my day, sir!

Totally agree. Absolutely amazing versatility and beautiful BEAUTIFUL tones out of this chorus!

Really Ryan, you soooo nailed it with this pedal. Honestly, I feel there's no way a chorus could be better than this.

Tim my buddy, after the year working on it and all those weekends spent doing prototypes, this is just the best thing to read ever. Thank you!

Normally, one of the first things I do when I get a pedal is open up the back and admire the insides. However, when my Cosmichorus v3 arrived, I was so anxious to plug it in and play, I completely forgot to do so.

Yesterday, it crossed my mind that I had never looked inside the pedal, and then it hit me that Ryan likely signed it, and I wouldn't be surprised if he even took the time to write a quick thank-you in there.

So I come in to the studio today, open up the pedal, and sure enough, there it is!

Cheers Ryan, you're a class act start to finish!

I've had mine for a while, but I'm still wowed every time I turn it on. It sounds just as amazing on my bass vi copy as it does on my guitar! Bass VI+CC+reverb takes me to awesome drone-y ambient land :!!!:

You really nailed this one, Ryan. It's easily the best chorus I've ever used :thumb:

Now that the preorder is complete, I'm pretty sure the next units are going out to retailers.

I remember reading the first store to get them is: http://www.axeandyoushallreceive.com

And btw, go get one! I'm telling ya: the Cosmi v3 is the best chorus pedal I've ever played!

Wow. This is easily the most versatile and full-featured chorus I've ever had, and I've tried a bunch of them! Finally chorus (and vibrato) sounds can be dialed in exactly the way I like it. The tones in this little box are outstanding. It's quickly becoming my favorite. Having both output level and blend is so much better than without; don't think I could go without them now. The hold mode is a lot of fun esp. w/ vibrato. I love how because of the mix control it can do pure pitch vibrato or add a sliver of 2nd voicing to juice it, and still be able to keep the output level in check. At first I had the treble dimed for maximum clarity, but then rolling it back and using the mix control again, it's pretty amazing how easily it gets into CE-1 territory and beyond.

Problem is, there's several settings I like a LOT-- slow, dark, & gooey; warbling, pure (or slightly chorused) vibrato; fat slippery leads; Honeyman-Scott chime. For now, at home & practice, it's all cool, I can just dial them in, but if live shows happen again I may need a second one. I always used to favor chorus pedals that had a toggle for two different rate/depth settings (CE-1, Retro-Sonic Chorus, Analogman Bi-Clone), but with the amount of custom tailoring available on the Cosmichorus, I might eventually opt for a second (this one is the Home Sweet Home finish, maybe score the Zombichorus for contrast?) beacuse it's one of those weird things where I didn't realize I wanted that level of customization until getting it, and how that I have it, I'd rather have two of the same pedal to get that control rather than compromise with a simpler 2-in-1 pedal. Some people probably feel the same for OD/dirt/fuzz, better to be able to dial in precisely the dirt on two individual pedals than use a simpler OD + boost combo pedal.

I read that a lot of time was taken in getting this thing just right; it shows! Very very happy camper.

Well said &-e, I agree start to finish!

-easily the best sounding (and I can't say it enough, it sounds really, really good), most versatile chorus I've ever used
-spot on when you say you can dial in CE-1 tones with the tone knob. I'm simply amazed how I can dial in every chorus I've ever used on the Cosmichorus v3
-I never even imagined how useful the output level/mix knobs would be when used together like that; a really clever and important innovation!
-live, if you're using a lot of different chorus/vibrato tones, I could totally see the advantage of having two (although I'll probably just stick to bending and twisting for the time being)
