Awesome piece Bronzetalon. Very haunting. Putting the warbled pitch vibrato to good use.

Re: The Cosmichorus v3 Pre-Order Package Partypalooza!
Hi guys I just got #42 today! Took a while thanks to UK customs!
First I powered it with a Godlyke Powerall and it sounded horrible, tinny and thin! So then I let it have a power supply from my cioks DC10 on my board and it suddenly showed it's true colours! Beautiful! really cool pedal.
It's taken me quite a while to dial in some good sounds, here is where I have got to for some really nice chimey clean sounds:
TREBLE : 12:00
HOLD : 11:00
CLOCK 09:00
VOLUME 13:00
MIX 14:00
RATE FROM 10:00 - 13:00
INVERT : LEFT/OFF
I then found just switching the clock switch in all three positions yielded very different versions of this setting,
Sublime!!!
But then without changing any of the settings I switched in to Hold mode and found that the sound although similar was softer and thicker, the sound was really filled out and very rich compared to the same setting in normal mode.
Has anyone noticed this? what is happening to the signal in hold mode to change the flavour so much?
PS has anyone else had bad experiences with the Goglyke powerall ? I got it because I am waiting on the Infanem Faye's Her and Ken recommended the Godlyke because of the amount of mA so now I'm worried it will kill the tone on the Faye's Her.

Really cool sounding demo, Ian! Love the others too, you have a really cool style. Do you find that you mainly use the v3 as a vibrato, with the mix set fully wet?
rotaryunison wrote:Yeah, I've listened to TBM for a few years now. The mixes always sound really expansive and I like a lot of that 80s throwback type of sound in a modern band.
Sardocasm wrote:More Birthday Massacre fans here than I would have expected. Awesome. I should be getting my Cosmichorus tomorrow and am ecstatic to hear that Cure/TBM sounds are awaiting inside that glorious box.
Yeah I love it! Really cool! So you guys must be into lots of cool synth rock bands then hey? Fill me in!

It look awesome though! :-)
Hope you're digging it, Jonathan, and thanks again!

I can really see this as a useful function.
Great stuff Ryan, it just keeps getting better!
Awesome, Jock, really glad you're digging it, and thank you again too!

I pretty much prefer vibrato to chorus in every way...so yea I mainly use it mix set to full wet and all the knobs set to taste.

Thanks Tom, glad you're enjoying it! I find the Cosmi to run just fine with the PowerAll, no differences at all.
Great point about the hold mode and I meant to make a post to tell you guys how you can use the hold mode to hear the difference between the inverted and non-inverted toggle settings.
When you put the Cosmi into hold mode you're freezing the wet signal at whatever moment in time it's currently at. The modulating waveform is what you're starting and stopping while the wet signal stays connected through the mix knob, unmodulated. It still has an affect on the dry signal though, just the nature of mixing the two time-varied signals together forms filters between the wet and signals and you can alter this sound by changing the clock knob, the clock toggles, or the invert toggle.
When you hold down the stomp switch in hold mode you start the triangle waveform (or whatever LFO you're sending in through the exp jack) and it starts modulating the clock of the wet signal again.
To hear the difference between the invert modes in hold, do this:
Turn your pedal on
Treble: noon or more
Volume: noon
Mix: noon
Clock: noon
Rate: slow
Hold: doesn't matter
Invert toggle: left
Hold toggle: right (not in hold mode yet)
Clock toggle: right
Ok, now flip the Hold toggle into hold mode. Take note of the sound, it has a filtered character to it now thanks to being in Hold mode. Now flip the Invert toggle to the right. Hear how the sound changed? It took on a different character, more vowely or resonant or hollow compared to when not inverted. (This is just a little exercise to show the differences between the two sounds, in case anybody was finding that difference to be subtle. Which it is, but definitely audible.)
The way the wet signal still affects the sound while in hold mode is intentional and basically how it has to work. We're starting and stopping the modulation, not adding or removing the wet signal.

Thanks very much to the last guys who got in, Jake and Jacob, much appreciated and I hope your Cosmis arrive soon!
This is officially the end of the pre-order, all 100 are built, 90 are shipped while we wait for the last 10 to pay. (No rush gents, whenever you're ready is fine)
Tanya and I would like to thank you guys very very much for being so supportive and patient, we really appreciate it!

#73 is here!!

As to be expected from Ryan and Tanya, this pedal delivers in spades! It's really flexible in sound and once you know what the Clock knob and toggle does, it's easy to deal with the settings. It definitely can go from subtle to extreme in a smooth way. I love all the settings of the Clock toggle. From Boss Hi-fi-ness to the warmth and lushness of the Arion SCH-1(with none of the problems inherent to those types of chorus) and beyond. The more intense settings are fun to specially with the Hold Feature. It can also have some Flanger and Vibrato sounds. Whether you want to use it for conventional songs or experimental ones, there's are lots of different sounds in this unit. The wait is very much well worth it!

Well said!
Totally agree. Absolutely amazing versatility and beautiful BEAUTIFUL tones out of this chorus!
Really Ryan, you soooo nailed it with this pedal. Honestly, I feel there's no way a chorus could be better than this.
