Well I was just gunna go with an Schematic but I found a really sweet kit that is actually cheaper than doing it myself... so I couldn't really say no, the 5 Watter from www.ampmaker.com gunna tinker with it though and turn it into an completely different build though.
If you do intend to drain the caps HT, use an resistor to do it, just to prevent arching (of course don't hold it and just touch it... it'll still shock you)
While amps may make sense to me... I just don't get alot of playing with them, this shall soon change though...
I've just gotten into modulation effects, started looking into flangers and chorus, Phasers... I don't really like so much, dunno why unless it's subtle like an Phase 45.
Some companies do weird things... probably just cheaper or more reliable.

Placing an holding an resistor accross the 2 capacitor lugs will drain all the electricity stored in the cap and.. help stop the deadliness.

I just went through seven Fender 400's and recapped the entire thing.
There was a whole lot of cap draining involved.
