Looks and sounds cool from the description, can't listen at work though.

Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Sounds pretty cool. But I can't tell how much is the delay because its in a song context. Sounds pretty PT2399ish.
Not worth $225 based on the description. I'd get the echo dream for $50 more.

Re: Caroline Kilobyte lo-fi delay
I just watched the video, like hazel said its hard to decipher because its in the background and mixed with a couple guitar layers but it kinda sounds like a DMM with out the modulation on the settings they were using. It sounded good, but nothing new or mind blowing IMO.

Re: Caroline Kilobyte lo-fi delay
Reminded me of the Neptune delay sound. And the intro to the video saying "analog and digital clashing together" and what not built an appetite in my mind for something much more radical sounding than such a simple sounding delay.

Re: Caroline Kilobyte lo-fi delay
Sounds like a slightly driven older delay.
The lack of individual sort of demo though kills any interest, that and I have plenty of stuff that already covers that ground.
Agreed on the lack of lo-fi though, I mean, if that's lo-fi, anything but absolutely modern digidelays with all the bells and whistles turned off is lo-fi.
My Space Echo by comparison seems no-fi.

Totally. I want to hear it in the context of a "real" demo. Droning overdubbed chords does nada for me.

I shouldn't hate on it when we haven't really heard a proper demo, and they're trying to Kickstarter.
Give it a chance, but I've already got my analog delay covered, I think.

True, but if you want a successful kickstarter your going to have to do more than that.
Also, everyone says lofi about everything. If it sounds noisy/hissy/degraded/bit crushy you may be lofi.

Re: Caroline Kilobyte lo-fi delay
There's a thread on TGP where Philippe from Caroline posted some info:
We may be using a different definition of "lo-fi" or low fidelity than Strymon or Line6. To my ears, lo-fi means not using the full frequency bandwidth available via the digital chip, or using a chip of limited fidelity, which the PT2399 digital certainly qualifies when set up for echo. To me, it doesn't mean bit crushed or broken; more that those harsher digital choppy tops aren't as present, while not as lo-pass filtered as the "analog" delays that use this chip that I've heard.
My goals were: good sound, good pedalboard citizen, reasonable price for USA made, some elements of razzle dazzle for fun. We'll see how things turn out.

So basically, it's a PT2399 delay. Thanks for clarifying.
