Always half wanted one but noise is a dealbreaker.

it's a bit hissy when the output is cranked all the way up, but not so much that it's obtrusive. i'm also really fussy about overly noisy effects--i REFUSE to use noise gates--so if it was bad it'd be off the board.

Timeline is really all I need but I think ill throw my Atomic Clock back on the board just because I like how it self oscillates better though

I use a Memory Lane Jr. It works fine and sounds pretty good but I use delay more as a utility kinda thing for weird rhythmic stuff or something droning in the background. I'm not too fussy about the tone or anything of the delayed signal. But I am working on modding/finding who can mod an effects loop in there for like an octaver, od, phaser, trem so I can just add more sounds to interact and bounce back and forth with my dry signal. But don't get me wrong! I love delays!

My el cap quickly replaced my ehx dmm and smmh. It excels at huge ambient washes and noise making.

I'm starting to think I might need a 2nd delay though...maybe something analog with bouncy repeats

I used to have a favorite delay, but I just don't know anymore. I need to play around with the values on the CaveDweller board to get them more in tune with what I'm playing these days. I think I might end up adding a tone control eventually. As far as self oscillation and washiness and everything goes, it's great. But I'm finding it to be almost TOO dark for my tastes

Malekko E600B...I haven't tried tons of delays, but my Ekko 616, Carbon Copy, and EHX Memory Boy all sound like toys compared to it.
Special low-frequency version.

I could live with only delay and reverb on my board and be perfectly happy. The 2 delays that have stuck around since I purchased each are the Providence Chrono Delay and the Dispatch Master. The Providence is just a great all around straight up delay. Tap tempo, ability to save tempos and divide up the quarter note, etc etc etc. Love it. And the Dispatch Master is perfect for the nice thick lingering ambient awesomeness. For verbs I've also got my RRR and just recently acquired an MSLP Spring Steen'd / SHO 2-in-1 which is pretty damn awesome.

I really like my combo of Sunny Day Delay and El Capistan, but I am somewhat tempted to ditch the El Cap and pick up a new DBA Echo Dream 2.

I was thinking about picking up the Chrono Delay one of these days, glad to see some non-TGP support of it.

I picked up a $95 used Nova Repeater and it's the best bang-for-the-buck delay I've owned. It's not perfect, or the best, but it's meeting my needs at the moment!
