 Fuck yeah D-FORCE! Fun fact: I used to play them all the time where I used to work and we'd have customers ask to turn the music down/change it.

I searched "Dopesmoker" on tumblr and found all these pictures of people who just got the album on vinyl.
LITTLE DO THEY KNOW THEY'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO HEAR THE PIECE AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE HEARD. HOW GREAT DOES YOUR VINYL SOUND NOW?
MWUAHAHAHAHA.

Lol, that is pretty funny. But how are you implying it was meant to be heard? Live?

I meant that it was supposed to be heard as one long song. Meditative and shit. Flippin' those records defeating that aspect of it. But I did just read that they had to record it in segments because the reel-to-reel they were using only held 22 minutes at a time. So maybe they cut it up pretty good to match those transitions.

But really, I just like giving vinyl junkies a hard time whenever I can.

roflkopter.

anyway. make this your profile pic for three days and change your signature to this. it's gonna be crazy cuz on the first glance, we're all the same poster and we'll be talking to ourselves (figuratively and literally, cuz you know, a few eons ago we were a big bang. and since time is meaningless, we still are.). rise and shine! :P

I'd enjoy the chaos.. and reverting back is gonna be soooooooo weeeiird

Although I would consider myself a vinyl junky, I'm in no hurry to get "Dopesmoker" on vinyl. I will probably grab it some day off eBay just because it's a masterpiece, but I won't listen to it often. I've got a few double LPs, but luckily no songs are broken up in the middle. That's just fucking annoying.

Too bad vinyl weren't like cassettes. I remember the old days where I'd pop a tape into my mom or dad's vehicle, listen to one side, wait for that annoying, ascending bloop, then enjoy the second side.

Herp, derp of course. I'm an avid digital pirate, so I didn't even think about this.
