Looking forward to hearing how the Babicz changes the sound. It already feels better, with the lack of adjuster screws.
Yeah, put the pickups in pairs so they look like humbuckers and no one bats an eye! Separate 'em by an inch and I look like a nut case! It was kind of a last-minute thing...I'd put the order in for two humbucker cutouts, and then said "no wait!"
I think they look great!

Searching for that new sound.
If you can read this, then I'm back?
Gonna let this sit a while while I flirt with refinishing the body. The Marauder comes in black and a metallic blue that I don't like. The black's sharp. But I think Surf Green would really suit it.......

I generally like black, but it's not a good match with your current pickguard and lipsticks. Surf Green could work, I always find that a fitting colour on Fender types ...

And now, almost a year later...the project is rolling again, with a twist. As it's converted to an unconventional bass VI.
No way was I stripping off Fender's Time Capsule Plastishell finish. My sandblaster isn't setup atm, and fuck it. I don't care how the finish holds up. I did sand it completely flat and add a nitro primer. On top of that, it's CORAL, one of my favorite colors. Shell Pink tempted me, but I know I'll never get tired of Coral. Forgot how much nitro smells. But the color went on really nicely. The gloss is a bit harder to work with, wants to run, but I avoided disaster. I do like the way nitro remelts with additional coats...makes finishing easier. Now it's drying. I won't be buffing it. I have no time to buff anything.
