With the mix knob all the way down the RRR is totally dry and the level knob is all clean boost, maybe 20dB, little less. Nice clean and simple op amp boost... I think the micro amp is an op amp boost as well.
I use the RRR as a boost when I'm not R'ing. I notice a slight bump in the bass response, but it could be one of those aural illusions and it is in fact linear. But that's just being anal, I can't actually imagine it is noticeable to anyone else if it is in fact the case that it isn't 100% linear - it is a great boost and I have no intentions of replacing it with anything else. Except maybe another Elements to add boost+grit. Not sure...

That’s quarter-assed at best.
Of all the boosts and even compressors I have tried I like the boost in the RRR the best. I have the MXR od/boost, while having a horrid overdrive has an awesome boost, and I have a ross compressor clone that can make an amp open up. But, putting the reverberator up around 15 db boost with whatever amount and preference of verb', some killer shit. The boost on the rrr works swell with my WiiO and well, pretty much everything I have. This pedal, she is the first I turn on, and the last I turn off.
