Damn thing keeps rearranging my shit. I usually keep my ipod in my car for weeks at a time. I took it inside to sync and update to the latest software....

It reordered all my tracks to "most played" coming first. I looked around for settings....

Damn album artist has to be the same. If one or more tracks doesn't have it filled in for whatever reason, it fucks things up.

Now I have to go through 152 GB of shit and make sure all the album and artist fields match.

Yeah, I kinda hate iTunes. Eventually, I'm gonna switch to a different media player. Who knows if it'll be any better, but it probably can't be much worse.

naw. they all suck. i've tried a few. i stay with itunes just because it loads best with idevices. i've had issues with Media Monkey putting stuff all fragmented on my fone.

i..... am anal. as BUTTS. see what i did there? but i spent like 2 weeks going through all my musics and being super fastidious about labeling and genre subdivisions. then went through each album and put All Star in the grouping category for each song i like, so i can import my whole library, then erase everything that doesn't have All Star in the Group label, and load up just the songs i like from each album.

iTunes just went thru a big-ass revision, if y'all didn't know. I'm not updating mine at all any more...I've got it working the way I want and I ain't gonna mess with it.

I used to use Foobar2K v8.somethingsomething when it had an iPod plugin available, but after they bumped it up to v9 the plugin was no longer compatible, which kinda forced me to iTunes. I may look into it again and see if there's anything available to handle iPods now.

Yeah, I didn't know this new version had a major overhaul. I almost never plug the pod into the comp, except when I get some new music I need to load.

Just figures that I'm going for a long drive and the one day I want to put some new shit on to listen to in the car, it fucks me over.

I just saw the iTunes revision. I hadn't open iTunes in a while. So, it was kinda a surprise to me. Definitely looks better. Haven't really looked around to see what they messed up this time. They always mess something up. I guess that's why they're always revising it. It's pretty annoying though.

I never use iDevices.
