Pedal chain hiss! Help!

I’m running jazzmaster into

Meatball Clone->Synth Mangler->White Spider->SPAE->TU2->PS3->Honey Bee Clone->Da Moaf->DLS->Jamman

And various clean amp…

DLS is always on.

The problem is…the more true-bypass pedals I put in front of TU2, the more hiss I get in this setup (even when all the pedal bypassed except DLS). However, DE fuzzes hate buffer in front of them, so I can’t put them all after TU2.

Any solution to deal with the noise?

Separately, they all work great…

The hiss is killing me.

Any suggestion would be great!

Power supply? That's all I can think of.

You are pretty much in the same situation as I am. I get the same problems with the TU2.

To me, you have three legit options, but I'm not sure you'll like any of them

1) Take the TU2 out

I have it on my board, but I tune with it and then leave it alone. It isn't connected to my other pedals. I usually stay in tune throughout a show or practice, or I'll just tune by ear.

2) Get some kind of noise reduction mechanism

I'm not a huge fan of putting anything on your board that doesn't serve a purpose, but this is a legit option

3) BEST OPTION: Sell your TU2 and buy a digitech hardwire tuner

this is what I am going to do. Problem is I have had the TU2 for like 10 years so it is waaay scuffed up and dirty...

If I can sell it for decent cash, I will do this.

Why don't you put the TU-2 in the loop of the SPAE true bypass style? Just turn the feedback and eye off.

Interesting... I've never had this problem with my TU-2. I wonder why?

Remove the TU-2 from your chain with some kinda TB loop.
Someone already mentioned the sp-ae, but you might want a seperate TB loop dedicated to the tuner if you use the sp-ae loop for anything.

That or get a new tuner. The digitech is kinda expensive for what it does. Look into a korg pitchblack...they are true bypass and can be had fairly cheap.

Thanks guys....I took out all the non-tb pedals and throw them in the end of the chain.

now everything is fine... such a noob mistake I made

It is noisy even when the pedal is off, and the only pedal between my guitar and amp.
However, I believe it's a TB pedal...
When I roll down my guitar volume, the noise becomes more drastic. The noise would also get louder when I "touch" the foot switches. It would not happen if I plug directly into my amp...

As someone mentioned above, how are you powering the pedal? That may play a role...maybe try another power supply?
