Can this be the offical ilf b/s/t slogan?

Ya, I think it can, if we spell "dealt" correctly. :hobbes:

Sorry

I would kind of be happy if a spiders home was in my pedal.

I leave dust on sometimes when I sell them but I always disclose it, figuring they'll clean it anyway even if I send somethng out shiny.

But they're pedals, I don't expect them to be pristine when I buy them. I don't want to know what some of the grit and grime in 30-40 year gear is.

Big hassle I've run into was used pedals from stores where no one had taken out the battery that had been leaking inside the things. FFS.

Yeah, why cry about it?

NSFW: show
That was a funny, funny joke because the pedal was a Crybaby.

I'm really still sorry

i particularly enjoy old MXRs where the insulating foam they used between the board and the enclosure turns into either grey clumps or brownish slime.

The brown slime is mojo. The grey clumps are inferior.

Ages ago I got a 1979 Phase 45 from a kid who paid me to take it off his hands. It had teh clumpz, but I OCD'd the whole thing.

I've offered to a few times, but nobody ever took me up on it so I stopped offering. I'm lazy. If someone asked me to, I'd probably tell them that their hands are just as good as mine.

Everything I get from here has always been pretty clean. I'm convinced people on ebay and other stuff fucking piss on the pedals before they send them to me.

I clean what I can - there might be a little dirt if i'm lazy but its never going to be brand new if you use it. If its needlessly grotty then i''ll take the velcro off. I do have a habit of reusing velcro on different pedals so sometimes they're be some residue. But my pedals don't really get that banged around and i'll always clean the dust around the switches/knobs and give it a clean wipe down.

I try to rub every pedal I send out against my roommate's stomach before I ship them. Usually while he's sleeping.

after I read this I tried to see if I had sent you any pedals, don't think I have,

I have no issues with the personality that comes with used pedals
most of the ones I have gotten from the ILF are pretty clean looking

When I sell a pedal that's beat up, dust-covered, and mean, or even just dust-covered or has some road god knows what on it, I charge $5-10 less as well.

Then again, I don't sell much gear - the only stuff I have that I'd consider are some EHX stuffs that the resale on is hilariously low versus new pricing, and for what they go for, I'll keep as paperweights!
