Re: Paul McCartney subbing for Kurt Cobain
all my favorite Nirvana songs are the screaming ragers (scentless apprentice, territorial pissings, oh, the guilt) , and all my favorite Beatles songs are John's, or George's ( tomorrow never knows, bluejay way), so i have the feeling it will not be something i like very much.

Re: Paul McCartney subbing for Kurt Cobain
this could either be brilliant or totally embarrassing. given the Zeitgeist, i'm expecting embarrasment all 'round.

Well, let's be honest. Kurt would have loved it.

True, Kurt was a Beatles fan. I think this could be great, if it is true. Where are the details? I really have a hard time imagining this is true due to the continuous legal battles between the remaining members and Courtney.

Re: Paul McCartney subbing for Kurt Cobain
There are certainly some songs that I could see Paul doing a good job of it (About a Girl, In Bloom, Drain You, Lounge Act, Pennyroyal Tea, basically all the songs that have a lot of melody), and some where it would be terrible (the more screamy, angsty punk-ish songs). It all depends on the setlist.
And yes, Aen nailed it, Kurt would be dancing on clouds if he heard about this.

Yes, but Kurt would've loved it more if it'd been The Shaggs instead.
