Yeah - rig wise, I'm really happy (when I get to use it). I use a Tecamp Blackjag into a Glockenklang 2x12. The Glock cab is my longest serving piece of gear. I used to play with other players using 6x10s and even 8x10s and they would always ask about the Glock after shows. Just huge clear output. It's made me another hifi douche :)

Just sayin'.

Dude, this. This whole band's output. ALL OF THE BASS TONES.

Also, after finally getting a bass as expensive as a mediocre used car, I can officially say that I vastly prefer putting my money into the amp and pedals than the bass. Not to rag on my basses, but man, having a nice amp makes like...all the difference. Because I've been playing my EGC through a bunch of people's amps, and it just sometimes sounds like "Generic Brand Bass", and sometimes sounds like HOT THUNDER.

Maybe I'm crazy.

Nah, I think you're right...even the coolest guitar in the world through a butt amp will sound like "a guitar".
Kind of like how a guitar through 3 big muffs is always gonna sound like a guitar through 3 big muffs, doesn't matter if it's a Strat, Tele, SG, whatever YEAH I SAID IT
YOU GOTTA PROBLEM WITH THAT?

Soooo, the Iron Pig is BADASS. I just spent more time with it, I can't wait to play it through my Orange tomorrow to really here it roar. I never really liked a Rat before but this is so different and so much better.

:idk: I dig the look of the old micro synths. I agree the newer ones look like butt.

I'm just worried that it's going to be fried.

That bass is not hifi enough. It's derivative.

Derivative of shit. Franky I only consort with you riff raff to appease my voting for Romney guilt.

I kid. I really haven't listened yet. I get to put the headphones on and jam out one all the kids and the wife goes to bed, later.

Hazzah!

Ooooo. Tecamp. I've always kinda wondered about the Puma. I LOOOOOOOVE my Glock. It's good only a level the serfs of this board will never even be able to afford an MP3 recording of. But people say the Tecamp Puma is close....and I could buy two or three more pedals with the money I would get from switching......

But yeah. Do the backline douchecanoe clubs DI or do they just mic their provided gear?
