It's in AADGBE, and it sounds really fucking heavy haha. I need thicker strings for sure though. I've got .11's on now

Yeah, like drop A A, and then standard tuning the rest of the way. Makes the E string sound like a bass and you can still make chords out of it!

I have this really barbaric mindset that tells my hands that everything has to be in some sort of 'D' style tuning in that a chord is made by having all the fingers on one fret. It's prohibited my hands from doing complex things like reaching over two frets hahahaha

I understand

I did the drop tuning for a long time and still love it, but the last few weeks all the D's have become E's and so on
It might be because I get to play a ton of acoustic around christmas

Nah, not really any wider than a normal guitar. Seems about as wide as my Jaguar. The body itself is somewhat small compared to the neck, I think that's why the neck looks so wide. I totally agree with you though
