And it's a community that would gladly eat beans for a month in order to pay for an effect pedal. Now, it would be great if they listened to other possible clients, like right here. SO, a Destroyer & Quadrature stand alone pedal could be made, like a Flint for noise lovers. It would definitively sell here.

Everybody should contact them and tell them. I already did. ;)

It wouldn't make sense for them to make a standalone of just those two YET. These two effects are probably the biggest selling points for us ILF'ers, and if this didn't have those features, I'm sure a lot of us (or at least more of us) would pass on the Mobius. These two algorithms are the "killer-apps" which sells this unit.

This. Except I don't know why anyone would drop $500 and that much pedalboard space for those modes, as good as they sound there are other options.
I wonder if they realised that packing all those modulation effects into one box is different than with delay like the Timeline, or whether they actually couldn't deliver enough DSP to stack effects.

At that price they could just put a Pentium in there and have all the processing power they need. 20 stacked destroyers!

Exactly! I would imagine they would wait for sales to die down and then maybe break some of the more popular machines out into their own boxes. I'll be waiting, or waiting until they start showing up on the used market (might be a few years). El Cap's are retaining their value very well.

So I preordered mine from The Guitar Sanctuary out of Texas. You only have to put down 25%.

http://www.theguitarsanctuary.com/Strym ... mobius.htm

He told me they usually get Strymon stuff a day or two before Strymon sends out the individual ones. So usually people who order from them get theirs a day or two after the people who get in on the first run of the Strymon.com preorder......which is a few weeks before the people not fortunate enough to get on Strymon's list early.

BUT....he told me he's already gotten tracking info on his Mobius shipment from Strymon. I'm thinking, total opinion, that Strymon is trying to get a bunch of pedals out quickly and that they built way more of these before the preorder went out than they did their previous pedals.....but Sanctuary thinks that they'll be able to get these guys out pretty soon and that the Mobius will be released soon. All opinions, though. Nothing official.

How do you only put down 25%? When I went there and added it to my cart, it said I owed the whole 449?

When you go to paypal.....it's not the regular purchase thing that I usually do...they'll send an invoice to you. And that invoice is only for the 25%.

In my case, paypal was being an ass so I had to call and order direct with my card.

Preorder up at Strymon's site right now. 10 weeks is their estimate, but they usually get the first ones out the door pretty fast.
