Same here... I though of Fat Tone... and I was like hmmmm never deal with them, but they have some great demo on YouTube and seems like a good shop. WTF!

Last time we went to Chicago, my girl and I cruised by the "Home Alone" house and Fat Tone was down the street. It's located in this hard to find, back road manufacturing type area, kinda weird. Only open to public 3 days/week and apparently they stay afloat with online pedal sales alone, like 85% of their business. Amps and guitars are current being liquidated, pedals only now days. They did have a great pedal selection tho and the owner was incredibly nice and very talkative. Glad we popped in.
i have a friend in FLA who builds boo-teek amps and referenced this several months ago, without naming the culprit...apparently it took a letter from a lawyer and a personal visit before he got paid. he was saying a week or two ago that the dealer was hitting the fan.

i have to say that the speak-no-evil TGP policy is utterly reprehensible. the idea that folks got ripped off because the problems were buried by forum mods makes me sick, and makes a mockery of the whole idea of online community,
