I really appreciate how the game gives you a significant number of choices—well, at least as much as a videogame can be expected to provide you—in completing a particular mission/level, both in terms of eliminating enemies (see above example) and getting to where you need to go (front door? climb through second floor window? climb then blink up to third floor window? possess rat and sneak in through sewer grate?); the level design offers you enough options to make it feel like the entire level is at your fingertips. It's just such a hoot. So much fun.

Certain aspects of the game are indeed influenced by how much "chaos" (IOW: killing people, etc) you cause during missions; it does subtly hint at the stealthy approach being the preferred approach, but it doesn't necessarily penalise you for taking the bloody approach.
