These, comfortable plus they last forever. Until you drop them on the carpet, then they just vanish.

How do you all play with those tinny, wee, little picks? on guitar I chew my fingers up when using normal sized ones...

I never ever strum with those jazz picks, for that very reason, I also don't like the attck they have when strumming.

My guitar teacher when I was a wee lad used red Jazz II's, and he was good, I wanted to play like him so I started using them, worked real well, everyone gave me hell for it, and I eventually conformed in my youth. However returning back has been a delight, especially when I play my tele clean.

I've been swapping these in the mix too and liking them a lot on acoustic...they really make an acoustic come alive:

a lot of people play with a sharp pointed pick, do you get more articulated/pronounced notes with them?

I feel like I do. I used to play a single pick that eventually turned pretty much into a circle and it had a really soft attack to it

i went through an 80 year old man penis pick phase.

soft to very very hard, then really soft then at last kinda hard.

bought one of those triangle (Doritos shape) fender picks once and hated it after 10 minutes.

Agreed.

Something weird I discovered on my quest for the perfect pick was simply changing color of the Tortex picks sounds totally different. Not talking thickness, talking about the black versions they have available in all sizes now days. Sounds nothing like my old green .88s, different material I guess, strange. Anyway, kept rounding off the Tortex at a high rate of speed and they tend to slip on me when my hands warm up. That led me to finding the Ultex and trying the Sharps cuz my buddy swears by 'em.

He was right, they fucking rule.

I've been using a very pointy Ultex lately as well and I really like it. I wanna get some thicker ones but other than that I find the shape and material great for accuracy and a sharp attack.

Yup, I started with the 1.14mm and ended up with the 1.4mm. I like the thicker one for sure. :thumb:
