Dirt pedals that like chords (not too much breakup)

Post by ChetMagongalo »

I really dig the sound of pedals not being able to track multiple notes, but I also really dig it when pedals can eat up 3 or more notes at once and you can still hear each note. My current dirt boxes don't really do that. (I have a RAT and a Crystal Dagger) Anything you guys like? Bass friendly would be great too ;)

The TAFM works really well for this I've found....on either bass or guitar. I attribute this to the fact that you have both Clean and Fuzz volume. I find I can get a lot more clarity from this setup vs. a clean blend. The Malekko B:Assmaster is another with the 2 volume setup that works equally well on bass and guitar.

I've found that for a gainy pedal, the Great Wall (at least the version I've played) does a great job of this. Also, Burns Buzzaround clones.

I've never heard of a TAFM, I've played a B:Assmaster myself, and I really dug the sound, I don't remember trying to play chords on it, so thanks for the headsup! That's a pedal i've been interested in for awhile. good to hear :joy:

I'm really digging the sound of a lot of these. I never thought I would get so into fuzz and the like. (I'm never going to be able to buy anything else for awhile )

I was looking at those 2 also, I'm not sure the fulltone has enough gain for my needs though

Yeah, the more you crank the gain the less notes you're gonna hear. You're not gonna get away from that.
