Re: Mountainking Electronics
I've only played the Magnetar with active basses (a Lakland 4-94 and a Gibson RD Artist) and have no issues. I used to have a nice passive Reverend Rumblefish but I sold it to buy the Magnetar, among other things, lol.

Definitely a sweet price for Eurotrashians, sweet enough that it's making me think about a second one.

I'm kinda on the fence about trading my Megalith for a Heavy Machine...I have a TAFM, as well. The Heavy Machine just seems to have a smoother sound I'm looking for....and I can't afford the 'Lith and the Heavy Machine.

Heavy Mecha vs Megalith. SOMEbody was supposed to record a video of those two pedals to show their differences and how well they stack together around the time of Thanksgiving. Sadly, it seems they were too busy playing PROG through EHX pedals to do so.

Dude! Don't do it! You'll regret it! Trust me. Especially with that killer etch!
Seriously though. I wouldn't. If you want to try the Heavy Machine, just buy one and flipped it if you don't like it. Or shit...maybe sucker Ben into letting you try his. Hand job might help. Just sayin.
Megalith was my biggest flipping regret next to my Blargotron. Never again I say! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Mountainking Electronics
It's like.....the Megalith is my personal favorite fuzz of all time. Hands down. But it's almost too brutal to use in any of my band settings. I need something smoother. And I can't afford something smoother AND the 'Lith. I will admit, the bitchin' etching jwr did is sentimental and makes me not want to sell it......but then I realized I could hire him to etch my replacement a a "notfriend rate". He gets money. I get setimental back. Everyone wins. Yay.

Don't flip the 'lith! You will regret 'til the end of days. Gypsies will cross themselves, then the street to avoid you. You will haunt the earth as an angry ghost.
