I remember that there's a live clip of the White Stripes on youtube covering "Farmer John". One of my favourite popsongs from the sixties.
You just need a passive bass, a tube amp, and a metric ton of marijuana and Sabbath worship.

Updated with clips for the lazy people.
I was ambitious enough to look them up and listen to them all Wednesday, but was too lazy to edit your post.

Oasis covering their heroes: Complete with The Bootleg Beatles, who opened for them in that show. Prisoner Cell Block H was cheesy show, with a cheesy theme song to match, but this cover is magnificent: And while I'm on the subject of bands covering TV themes: the Breeders covering BUFFY~! Oh fucking Yes. The Rembrandts, of "I'll Be There For You" from Friends fame, covering the theme from Thundercats.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

I didn't like it at first, but once I heard Brent and Jerry do it live, I was moved. One of those inspiring moments in life that just sort of hit you.

Oh my god. How could I forget: I was at this show. Jerry was barely in the show, then he whipped this out. I emotionally crumbled. This is the first time I've seen this since then, and I must admit, I'm a little shakey right now because of it.

I really like David Bowie, and a NJ band called Steel Train does a great cover of Space Oddity. I'm at work, so maybe someone else could post a youtube link?
