I think that's why I dig my IC Muff so much... it's a perfect blend of "distortion" and "fuzz"... like it's not metallic and gainy enough to be just a distortion, and it's not saturated enough to be just a fuzz.
It's like a great thick woof fuzz with the buzz of a fine distortion on top.
I like the Triangle for the buzz, but the IC Muff has that perfect buzz layered into the woof.
black russian. The only bass heavy pedal that finds it's way into my setup from time to time (plus it's my first fuzz...so nostalgia). it's just perfect for washy rumbly reverbed ambient noises and other assorted fuzz chicanery.
Green Russian (W&C Tall Font Russian), though I haven't tried any of the others on the list.
I did recently acquire a Bluebeard, and holy shitnuckles, its brutal... Not as low-endy as the TFR (is anything, really?), but mids and harmonics for days, and sits well between what the green muff does, and what the Unpleasant Surprise does.
