I think so, but I'm not positive. Whenever the futureman is mentioned, someone says that it's based on the colorsound...must have missed John Lyon's official mention of the fact

The elements to me is capable of really authentic od and distortion like the ideal toaaaaan that exists in your head. You can also endlessly tweak the knobs to attain that sound you are going for. The mini is more simple yet still covers a lot of ground from subtle transparent to fully on fuzzed out blown out distortion. I highly recommend both because both Brian and Ryan are stand up dudes who make incredible pedals. Either choice will achieve what you are going for! good luck on your hunt... you will find that sound you are going for or atleast something that is unique and different and leaves you filling satisfied and fulfilled.
Had both, kept my Elements and sold off my Fuck...though now I want a Mini.
So, I have added nothing to this conversation.

All anyone really "needs" is a fuzzbox anyway. Everything else is just dicking around.

Hi guys Yes, the Futureman is based on the Colorsound OD. I changed a few things to make it work a bit better. A couple tonal changes but not all that different. Mainly tweaked a couple things to make the controls work smoother over their rotation.
I've always wanted to try the first 3 of your list (sub in big fuck for mini fuck), but been debating between these three and this one Imma tell you about.
Check out the youtube video for the Foot Fetish Dirt Bunny. It sounds awesome. You can find them (Robbie Markel) on facebook. He has a facebook group that he runs his little pedal business from and he sells different things from time to time and you can request some stuff or ask him anything.
Also, the Way Huge Pork Loin drifts on and off my list from time to time.
Slight necro on this thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare the ss/bs mini and the barbershop. I lusted after the barbershop for a long time until I heard clips of the mini, and then it moved up to the top of my list. So of course, now I've gotten a great deal on a barbershop and its en route to me. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but maybe I'd enjoy the mini more?
BTW all this is in relation to playing the bass. I play mainly blues/rock stuff, speaking broadly.
seriously, both have mucho grit and surely a gnarly attitude I liked the Fuck more, but I have to say the Black Forest is awesome as well Just has this texture to itself that i really didn't enjoy (different guitar than now, though)
