I also like the Liquid Gain "Hydra" a lot.

I went hunting for a gritty/fuzzy overdrive a few months ago and tried out a catalinbread sft, blacks arts black forest, ss/bs fuck, blackout effectors fix'd fuzz, basic audio futureman, and eqd monarch (that I already owned.) I liked the futureman and the black forest the best, and I ended up keeping the futureman. It adds some fuzz and grit to your guitar and really thickens up your tone, but it is still very dynamic. FYI futureman+monarch=

You sure aren't helping my elements gas. I plan on picking one up after the holidays :animal:

Basic Audio stuff is super. The Futureman is another Colorsound OD yeah? Never tried that one.

Dude, it's sick, seriously awesome! :thumb:

Ryan has blems pretty regular too at a super sweet discount. They look practically perfect honestly, not all flawed and beat, just something to think about....

+1 on the white light, sleeper pedal of the eqd family. i had the dba overdriver for years and really liked the sounds for bright full sounding grit, but it was pretty unreliable. the white light does this and much more, really dig it :thumb:

holy crap, 95% of those you listed are on my previous list as well. Especially the colorsound kinds, ended up with the Rx OD. I've always been intrigued by monarch

I have the Interstellar Overdriver and it's good - very dynamic and more rough/characterful than most overdrives I've tried. However, it isn't very versatile and controls are obviously very limited. I might try something else soon.

I fully support the elements for any dirt needs and the fuck od for the gritty od capable of being mean, kind, but most importantly always raw! The mini is capable of being as overdriven as you truly want it!

Can the Elements cover similar ground to the Mini?

yes it can in its own way. The elements is more of a straight forward od-distortion where the mini has its own unique grit and rawness to it. The elements to me is capable of really authentic od and distortion like the ideal toaaaaan that exists in your head. You can also endlessly tweak the knobs to attain that sound you are going for. The mini is more simple yet still covers a lot of ground from subtle transparent to fully on fuzzed out blown out distortion. I highly recommend both because both Brian and Ryan are stand up dudes who make incredible pedals. Either choice will achieve what you are going for! good luck on your hunt... you will find that sound you are going for or atleast something that is unique and different and leaves you filling satisfied and fulfilled.
