digitech pds 2 second delay mod. more time???

Post by fluffytunapouch »

Does anyone know if I can mod this to get more delay time????/
I've seen people modify other models (multi-play) to get more delay time, and it'd be killer to get some more times on this too.

I think it's just adjusting a trimpot from what I recall.

Screwdriver is the only tool you'll need.

I was starring at the schematics for a while. trimmer P3 is a 50k to ground with a 2m resistor pulled up. the speed pot sends a DC control voltage through this trimmer. the trimmer attenuates it. after the next opamp, there is a voltage controlled oscillator made from a hex inverter. here a 74AC04 is used. this is similar to a CD40106. you can replace any square wave osillator with any other square wave oscillator. if the trim pot won't get it as slow or fast as you like, you could hack it with an arduino to have an LCD display and presets. you could even add an LFO in the arduino. you could use a LMC555. anything really.

Seriously, I think you just need a screwdriver. No soldering or component swapping necessary.

Twiddle with the trimpots, you'll fuck it up guaranteed.
Best way is to sell it and buy a PSD8000 :)
Good deals done with all these guys
