with only 9 days left to finish remodeling your house

ryan, you should just come build guitar cabinets with me.

I added up the cost of getting (decentish) woodworking gear for my garage to do what I wanna do: nothing extreme, just finger-joined plywood cabinets with routed corners and hardwood trim.

And that shit is expensive.
I don't have an extra grand to spend on decent-ish tools. And I dunno that I want cheap stuff that's gonna break or kill me.

And I'll admit to being terrified of table saws, but only because my uncle lost his hand to one, and he's a cabinet maker.

Shit.


I would rather take the chance with a clamped straight edge and a circular saw,
the risk being one in a couple billion chance that the blade comes undone and flies into my face
or that there's a nail hidden in a piece of plywood that kicks it and chops me in half

I quit my job at this local pizza place last night. I couldn't deal with the chaos in the middle of a rush, and walked out. Manager called today, left a message, she wants to talk about it.
