Either way it's a solid upgrade and I would've loved to find a full kit as opposed to pricey saddles on their own. I'm sure you'll be happy with the end result

I wonder if you could have talked Callham into a doing a Tornado style bridge plate. Not sure if there is a huge market for that. :idk:

The only saddle upgrade I can source locally are the graphtechs,...which I think would be great for tremolo equipped guitar like my strat and likely a decent upgrade for a hardtail,...but just seems to me that putting graphite saddles on a hardtail is completely missing the point. :idk:

PS,...I love those Pawnshop Mustangs.

I tried to contact Callaham about the string spacing confusion,...he basically told me to take out a ruler and measure it myself. If I could do that or had the knowledge I wouldn't have bothered emailing the guy. I thought that was kinda lousy customer service.

I might be going with those graphtechs after all.

Haha, yeah, their ordering is weird too!

You have to use a printable form, then fax/email it with your credit card info OR call. I decided to call, not faxing my info and they're all like "Yeah, I guess I can take your order, lemme grab a pencil, huffffff." I said fuck it and had a dealer friend order instead....

You should post your findings in Lapsteel's thread.

Hey everyone,

first post here and first family shot:

Image

L to R:
all of them are my main guitars, depends on the mood and the weather.

- 1962 Eko Mascot
Love at first sight!!!! she is incredible.

- 1964/65 "the Thing"
Parts from 64 and 65 (except for the bridge and the tuners, which are brand new)
Kawaï/Teiscoish body, 64 Bigsby, Hound Dog Taylor pups and 64 Musicmaster Neck for pure 60's vibes.

- 1990 Les Paul Custom
My first serious one, still happy.

- 1976 US Stratocaster
I don't even like strats, but this one I got the chance to have her, and I'm delighted.
The only strat I'll ever have, the only one I love.

- 2002 CIJ Antigua Jaguar
Just get her by mail 2 days ago. I've always been dreaming of a Jaguar, and I traded that one for a crappy Ibanez I bought 15 years ago for 75 euros, (100$ to you, I'm french)...stupid morron!!!!!

I think I'll change the pickguard on the jag, but not for bwb, I'd rather choose an orange pearl one, or maybe a red pearl, something odd like blue or purple, I don't really know at this point.
Orange pearl seems to be a good choice, because when it grew old (I don't know how to say that, my lack of english vocabulary :) ), Antigua's green turns orangish.

I'll change the pickups soon though.
I don't know if I'll buy some vintage ones or if I'll buy Curtis Novak's pups...
Does somebody have an opinion on Novak's?
