What kinda video mixer are you using anyway?
It's like there's only $150 things that do like two patterns or ridiculous $5000 things that make 1970s music videos.

He has a circuit bent video mixer he bought from a dude who doesn't make very many of them, and a Korg Kaoss Pad Entrancer that does video sampling / effects. They are SO MUCH FUN to play with even though I've only played with them a few times.

the video mixer i have is a panasonic wj-ave 3. i think its like a 90s jawn, its got some cool fx on its own, but the magic is hidden in the bends and breakout box.
the bends are triggered by audio fed into the mixer via the aux in's and are controlled by the breakoutbox. the breakout box has some knobs and some touch sensors.
theres lots of patch points on the mixer that u can connect to the b.o box in infinite ways, jack some audio into it, mess w/ the controls and blast off.

they are so much fun, not for those prone to seizures tho (hehe)
if u stumble upon one, snag it.
u can do so much cool shit w/o really knowing that much about making videos (see: me)
