Personally I think Muff Fuzzes sound very weak and boring.

They're not meant to be exciting...

I owned a nano muff overdrive and it was pretty good for boosting gated fuzzes. Has more low end than treble. I never got to play it through a tube amp... it'd probably be pretty "vintage" sounding.

A small 2 Transistor Fuzz...

Followed by the Little Big Muff which is a 4 Transistor Fuzz so lets just call it 2 Muff Overdrives/ Fuzzes

And the Muff Overdrive is just a reissue of the Muff Fuzz, Possibly an OpAmp Version though rather than transistor?

I don't get it. But yeah I can see how they would be great to boost fuzzes and distortions, it's just by them selves they don't seem worth it.

I found that using an old muff fuzz with an octave down pedal, leaves the dry signal clean, but makes the octave down real growly and thick, and I wanted to see if anyone knew if the newer, pedalboard friendly one was as good as the old one you plug into your amp or guitar. I added the little muff, because I didn't know if it was the same circuit or not....

And the big muff is called "big" because it use 4 transistors instead of 2 for the muff, it's simple

And because of it's huge enclosure. (but small pcb )

That dude's actually using the nano version of the Metal Muff, going by his other vids.

I've also seen a vid elsewhere on Youtube that says the Little Big Muff is actually a full Big Muff circuit, just with the tone and sustain pre-set.
