Yeah both of mine do it. Not a huge deal. Pop would be if I played quiet music. The phase sound is just great to me. Sounds like a bomb.

I can see how it could work for some people but I don't have any use for sounds generated when there is no input.

It was loud enough to be really annoying whenever you weren't playing. I know I am not the only one that experienced it from reading elsewhere. I suspect with a less hi-fi amp setup (i.e. most guitar amps/cabs) it would be less noticeable.

I believe I did read somewhere that Ken was looking at this in the re-design.

That's why I sold mine. And the fact that my favourite setting on it was pretty much cloning the Octasynth (which will never leave my board).

Deluxe upgrades include:
-Voltage controlled 12dB/oct resonant lowpass filters replace the standard SV's 6dB/oct passive LPFs. CV/Exp jacks are provided for control of each filter's frequency.
-Two extra footswitches allow the suboctave and harmony to be individually muted/activated for quick tone changes.

Jeebus. That's nuts. If that's just the Second Voice, I can't even imagine what the Analog Harmony synth will turn into

The mock-up has me putting my EHX Hog up for sale. Fewer octaves, yeah, but the tone - I just can't warm up the Hog at all, though the resonance filter is nice and will be missed.

Pretty sure the Second Voice Deluxe is what the Harmony Synth ultimately was supposed to be...
This message is most likely very old, so things said here probably don't apply to the current state of all things devi ever. As always, you can visit www.deviever.com for the latest on devi ever related projects.
