If you go with a 4 conductor Humbucker you can wire a 3 way toggle for Full/Split/Parallel. That's how I have my neck pickup guitars wired and it makes them pretty versatile without complicating things too much.
I was considering just having a pull-push pot for splitting.
That would be cool too. The Parallel option is really only good if your pickups are super hot or you just want a really low output.
