For one of those new I could probably find a slightly-used Hardware Supernatural and just leave it on shimmer still more than I wanted to pay for one gimmicky effect.

love the album leaf... and totally think you can sound as good as them without shimmer!
for what it's worth, i have the organizer, and when you dial the sub octave totally out, crank the upper octave and choir knobs and pick 16th note type stuff, it's a nice "shimmer" alternative..
