That's why I take Sonic Youth's example and put my noise freakouts in the middle of the song.

That's the way to do it. Errybuddy lubs noize. I just hate the cliched "it's the last song so we're going to let things feedback for a few minutes" show ending.

Do it at the beginning, before the first songs. That way you scare away the light weights and get your masturbation in before things get underway
