Re: Pedal trends that need to go away
i only have one battery-powered pedal on my board, a Sound Shank which i can't run on the OneSpot because it's reverse polarity to the rest of the chain. i kill batteries regularly by forgetting to unplug the input jack on the Shank.

I like sliders on the pog and pog 2
oh and on the EQ pedals
I am now sure about how I feel about people making muffs sound "less scooped" they are muffs

yeah, sliders are cool. I wonder what you'd need to cut the slots to fit them on a DIY pedal though.

A mill?

Not exactly your garage drill press.. this is the mill in my old makerspace in Milwaukee, and it was AWESOME for drilling enclosures on.

Edit: The real answer for DIY/garage work might be to drill a row of holes as close together as possible, with a bit just under the overall width you need. Then use a rat file to break through the bits of metal between, and finally a flat file to smooth out the edges. I guess:?:

Also, more original, crazy distortion units from Wisconsin like the Harmonic Percolator! (I'm looking at you, Aen..)

Dirt pedals with pathetic output levels!
Seriously, if I dime the volume on a pedal, I want it to be LOUD.
There are too many dirt pedals that can't keep up, and that's just sad.
