Yeah, I said it.

This a makes a bit of sense actually.
If I want to take just one pedal to jam, it would be nice not to worry about bringing an adapter with me.

I put a battery in two of my pedals in May cause I actually ventured out of my apartment to play in our Graphic Design studio before I graduated. It was the first time I'd used a battery in a pedal really since I started, and also the last haha

I'm not a blues purist who thinks fuzz pedals only sound good with a battery from ancient egypt that only works when I pray to the thundergods, so I guess I don't have much use for battery powered pedals.

i run a battery in my big muff because it's easier... the 9v jack was gutted out of the circuit many moons ago, so swapping a battery maybe twice a year beats using one of those battery clip adapter thingies...

also, more often than not i just play guitar > big muff > amp, so running out the 1-spot for that would just be super annoying...

Yep. I find batteries way more annoying than using a power supply; you sometimes don't remember if there's one in there or not, they run out, you have to unplug the jacks to save power... No thanks. Plus not bothering about batteries allows builders to put things in smaller enclosures which is always nice.

What they should do is make a little cord to plug into the DC jack. AND THEN you can just put a 9v on the other side of the cord.

pedal dc jack->little cord->little box->9v in the little box.

Million dollar idea right there

I lurked this thread for way too long.

Tubescreamer clones.
Klon clones.
Overpriced Big Muff Clones.

Transparency.
Unusable synths.

when i went to change the battery in a devi e.b.
i almost ripped the battery clip wires out tryin to get the battery out of its space
decided not to put another one back in
and havent changed a battery since
i never use them anyway theres always a power supply lyin around or in the strip
and they go dead on my board overnight anyway
they should nix the batterys clip and charge $5 to send crappy supply if you need one
batterys,i dont even get it
are you supposed to put fresh ones in every pedal before a gig
or leave it up to chance

I hate batteries, there is almost always a power supply laying around.
you have to plug in your amp anyway so it's not like you are doing that much more by plugging in a power supply.

Get rid of Knobs in favor of sliders. The only pedal I can think of that really rocked the sliders was the Harmonic Percolators.

Also, more original, crazy distortion units from Wisconsin like the Harmonic Percolator! (I'm looking at you, Aen..)
