Love it. Fun guitar. Looks a lot heavier than expected (8.8) Rear pickup likely going to be replaced. Other than that, money!

no moog guts (which i'm fine with, i've played the MOOG guts and they are just so/so) and i'm really on the fence with the current pickups. I used to Jazzmaster pickups (duncan antiquities and novak WRHB's) - the front is an old Dimarzio Super Distortion (12.8!) and the rear is a Bill Lawrence L500-L from '83 (6.8 output!) the Dimarzio sounds great, the Lawrence, not like want...

need some recommendations on pickups, my mind is swimming with possibilities!

DAMN, that is really cool (MOOG guts or not)! Gibson RD is definitely one of my dream guitars.
You should match the color/size of the pickup rings though (or is it me having OCD?)

Can't really help you on the pickups, though. I just stick with whatever comes with the guitar.

Gorgeous guitar. You should try swapping the pickups around. Would probably sound a lot better. Saves buying some too.

Called Seymour Duncan and asked about industry accommodation. they said yes, so i've got a set of Antiquity humbuckers coming! should be stellar, i liked them so far in my Jag, Jazzmaster and Firebird...don't know how their PAF version could be wrong in any way.
