univalve wrote:1230-55 is not a Greenback. It is a G12H30 with 55Hz Resonance and AlNiCo Characteristics. Never heard the Weber stuff cause it is not that common over here. The G12H30 is a pretty great speaker. A lot of (boutique) amp manufacturer have these as standard speakers in their cabs and combos (i.e. divided by 13, 65 amps).
My favorite combo is the Celestion Blue with a vintage G12H30 75 Hz in an open back Fender style cab. So tim, i think you will dig your pretty similar combination :thumb:

Good call. I just got into speakers so I get names switched up sometimes. I'm a big fan of AlNiCo magnets, and I've been lusting after those Celestion AlNiCo Blues.

Love the Celestion alnico blues that came in my ac30, the greenbacks and golds are pretty sweet too. Wanting to build a Marshall 50 watt superlead clone and run it stereo with the vox. Not sure what speakers I'd use with it though.
Good deals with: Officer Bukowski, Caesar, BriBri, Amorphous, ThePastRecedes
